Hi Guys,
I recently acquired a mouth watering 20inch Mitsubishi monitor and I would like to know how to calibarate it, as images seem slightly darker on it than my office and older monitor. Do you need specific software or do you just have to do it by eye? Many thanks! |

I've just added a page to my site on this very theme!
Have a look at: http://www.digital-photography-tips....libration.html Basically, you don't need to worry too much about calibration, UNLESS you absolutely must match your print output with your monitor. The easiest way to do this is by buying a hardware/software combination, such as a Spyder. You can do it by eye - go to your "gamma" settings to do this. I've explained it on the page above, so have a look there. To re-iterate my first point though, unless your prints have to match you rmonitor exactly - don't worry about it too much. Hope this helps?
