Any of the superzooms can do that.
Pany Fz series, Canon S, Sony H etc You can take shots like that handheld at 432mm+ |

It just seems hard to believe, that it would be that clear and upclose. Also there was no Exif data when I checked. Just makes me wonder.

I've done a lot of shoots like that, handheld, with my Panasonic Lumix FZ-30 and Konica-Minolta Dynax 5D+300mm lens (450mm effective). Both cameras with image stabilizer.

Are you talking about if it's possible to capture this shot hand held? or just in general focal length capability?
Even at 432mm equivalent, it would have to be cropped to get an image like this. |

You could get that shot. You would probably need to crop it just a tiny bit. But not much. You can get some pretty nice moon shots with 12x optical zoom (432mm). If you added just a touch of digital zoom that shot would be easy. (I wouldn't recommend it, but 1.5x digital zoom never killed anyone unless you plan on blowing it up)

Yes with cropping and looking at the quality and chromic aberration seen here then I would say it is heavily cropped and possibly is at 100% size.
