Looking at the spec for the new Digimax i5, they proudly pronounce that...

"The Digimax i5 supports MPEG-4, the high-compression high-quality video format, for an enhanced video shooting experience. When used with a 256 MB memory, the user can record up to 2 hours 10 minutes of movie with sound"

Now, in the user manual, the following chart is provided...for a 32Mb card...

640 * 480 ..... 2min @ 30fps ..... 4min @ 15fps

320 * 240 ..... 4min @ 30fps ..... 7min @ 15fps

160 * 128 ..... 8min @ 30fps ..... 15min @ 15fps

So, can it really do over 2 hours? This must be at the lowest spec. Now, who is really going to want to record 2 hours of 160 * [email protected] 15fps?! I would want to use at least 320 @ 30fps, which would be 32mins... still not bad I suppose.
