Default Multi Exposure 602z

Hi, I have a 602 zoom and would like to take some pics on Multi-Exposure.I am able to take multis but, I have a problem with the pics being over exposed(too bright).Could anyone give me any help in changing exposure compensation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whenever you do multiple exposures, you need to reduce the exposure. The amount depends on how many exposures on one frame. The problem is that each exposure adds to the one already recorded. There is a formula but I don't recall what it is. For two exposures, you need to reduce by one f-stop or one EV. For four exposures, it is two f-stops. You can do this using exposure compensation. I will try to find the exact numbers and post them here.

(Edit) I found a good discussion of the topic at
