Love my old Mavic FD95, but want to upgrade to more pixels. Have looked into the new Sony Cybershot DSC H1 and gotten pros and cons. My picture taking is amature, family and friends but still want good quality to share. Any advice on a good, dependable 5 mexapixel (or higher) with 10x lens. Never had a problem with the Mavica and like the feel of a camera in my hand. Help!!!:?

Better start reading!

Maybe you can start with the Panasonic line of cameras for the zoom your looking for, then you can judge from there.

Nikon 8800 is worth a look. I have one and the pics are great. It has the zoom you are looking for and comes with vibration reduction. My wife is a point and shoot photographer but she loves using the scene modes (15 of them).
