Hey Guys,

Been reading this forum for sometime now and love it. Picked up a Nikon D40 kit and enjoying it alot. Looking to pick up a 55-200 mm VR lens soon to get some nice shtos from a distance and then a nice lens for wide angle.

Anyways i stopped at the book store yesterday to pick up some information.

I'm looking for the best book on SLR's that teach everything you need to know about, aperture, shutter speed, exposure, ect... Also looking for tips on photo editing, different time of lighting that can affect pics, and postioning shots.

Any recommendations out there to read to get alot of good info. I'm going to be doing this for fun and and not lookign to spend my life saving on it so not looking for any professtion equip, advice, just like to take shots of many different things, spots, close up, people, wild life, ect...

Thanks for looking

Try "Rick Sammon's Complete Guide to Digital Photography 2.0". He covers a lot of what you want in a friendly style.
