hello all
first post, but first would like to say how great the reviews are on here. i am about to buy my first entry level dslr. i had my heart set on the pentax ist-dl, until i found out about the max images that can be captured during burst mode. i want to shoot some motorbike action so its going to be a nikon d50 now. anyway here's my question, when is the d50 due a replacement/upgrade/makeover and links to such info would be greately appreciated. thanks john |

Not any time soon. The D50 is not quite one year old, and the life cycle for Nikon bodies is roughly 18-24 months. A D70s replacement is probably the next new Nikon body.
There will always be new products. By waiting, you're missing out on photo opportunities. The D50 is a great value, and a great camera that will serve you well for many years to come. |

Thanks RJ for the reply, i know its the camera for me, just wondered if a newer version was due out which would push the price of the d50 down even further.
thanks john |
