newbie question ...

ok i just want to know what resolution is good for what print size ... i'm planning to get a canon sd100 and it's a 3.2MP camera and i hardly like photos bigger then a 4 x 6 ?? do i need a 4.0MP camera ? or if i do get one will there be any difference in the quality of the 4x6 ?? also considering the sony u30 ??

A 3.2 mp will provide excellent photo printing to 4X6 or 5X7. You will also be able to produce very good 8X10. A 4mp camera will not provide you with that much difference at the lower print sizes. You would see some better printing at 8X10. Have the camera store print some photos with both cameras and it will help you choose.
