Default Nikon D100 + AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E II

Hi, can any one confirm / comment whether the above combination is working in AF mode? I have read several short descriptions on the converter and none has mentioned the D100 explicitly as "compatible" in AF mode.

Did you ask in the Nikon DSLR section?

The answer is (I believe) that the Nikon TC fits some of their lenses, but not all (like with Canon.) It's a physical thing, where the lens element hits the TC. You can get around this with a Sigma or Kenko TC

As to AF, I believe it will try to work at whatever the max aperture is. But you'll start to see the difference of worse AF after (I think) greater than f5.6.

The big diff with Canon is that at greater than f5.6 it just stops doing AF.
