So my brand-new D50 just started doing this a day or two ago, and I don't know if somehow the settings were changed, but I can't find a thing about this in the manual. The only thing I notice is that it says "highlights" at the bottom, and I don't remember seeing this before.

On review, almost all pictures have an area that blinks white/black, especially if there was any light in the shot (ie, a window or a lamp). No problem in the pictures when uploaded, but it's annoying to see that when you're trying to review.

Battery is fully charged, and it still happens. Did I change something in the settings? Or is my LCD bad?

You've switched on the highlights setting. The areas that are blinking are areas where the pictures is possibly over exposed. There are a number of overlay options when reviewing pictures and you scroll through them with the left and right buttons on the 4 way pad.

jenpane, it is possibly a good thing to at least read once the manual that came with your D50. :lol:
