Hi, I'm trying to find a bag that I can put over my shoulder and keep my 1D + 70-200mm lens in while I'm walking around.
It doesn't need to offer any protection at all and needs no padding. It's purely for keeping the camera out of sight when I'm not using it as it draws attention to itself when being carried around town on trips out ![]() Ideally it wants to have no weight or bulk so that when the camera is not in it I don't know it's over my shoulder. It needs to be long enough to take the cam/lens combo with the hood attached. Also as I'm male it wants to look like a man's bag rather than a woman's ![]() I've looked all over my home town but I can't find one. Any suggestions? |

Depending on where you are going, a soft sided six-pack coolermight work.

I have a small sholder sling bag I picked up at a local department store. I can fit my DSLR in it with lens mounted and one other lens (keep it in a lens pouch). It has an external pocket which works well for holding an extra battery and polarizing filter. Bag is navy blue and has a cell phone pocket on the strap (I don't use it) so the bad does not scream, "Camera in here!". No brand name on it. Check in the sporting goods department or ladies' handbags area.

If you have an "Army surplus " near you, see if they have something you like.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
I had another look today and found one almost suitable but it wasn't quite wide enough ![]() |

I just put my camera bag inside a small duffel that's suitably scarred and soiled. Any gym bag should work fine.
