[align=left]I just purchased a Canon 3IS last week and am still in the learning process. I wanted to know if there are any inexpensive ultra small older model pocket cameras that can be used outside. I would like to have one to carry with me at all times. Are all screens difficult to use in the sun? I may have to get one with a viewfinder if so. I have a Mavica sitting I just packed away and I was never able to use it outdoors. The screen is impossible to view. - gle

In general screens are much better now and most can be used outdoors. Even so there's an advantage to an optical viewfinder, you can put the camera up against your face which ruduces camera motion induces fuzzies.

The Kodak C533 is a pretty decent little camera available for ~$95 from Kodak's refurb site.
