I want to order a camera from japan from ebay. Is there anything I should look out for? besides waranty issues? Meaning, are the cameras from japan the same ones that will be shiped here? They all have a language changer so they should be the same right?

I'm not so sure they are the same
and I would wonder why it's offered in Japan and not here also you might have to pay import taxes on it |

The reason I want to order it from japan is because the camera I want just came out over there. It will be coming here in a month or so maybe more.

I don't know how much information you can get, but check if it has a U.S. warranty and whether the accompanying manual is in English.
Don't know anything about the tax situation. That would be good to know. From what I've heard, you can get a camera cheaper in Japan than the same model bought in the states. All other things being kosher, the savings might compensate for import fees. Even if the manual isn't in English, you can many times download a manual from the manufacturers website in a variety of languages. Grant |
