Hmm, the eye is roughly 20-25mm, the pupil can vary quite a bit but seems to average around 4mm most of the time. That wouild be F4ish...
The info I've seen says the human eye has around 126million sensors, 120m rods and 6m cones. The cones are nearly all in a very small cluster, and they are responsible for yor main vision. The rest are spread around the eye to give the rest of vision, but are not colour sensitive. Sensitivity is as low as a single photon. |
