Photo Of the Day using Digital Rebel on Steves Digicams

I bet there will be a lot of pictures of the day like there is today with the Canon Digital Rebel camera in the future.
Unfortunately, the caption today only states that it is taken with the Digital Rebel, and gives no info on the type of lens used with it.
Would be interesting and helpful I would think to include this information as well in future Photos of the Day that use this camera.
Regards.

You can definitely bet on more Digital Rebel photos in the future - we are already see a large number of them in the "in box" every day. We do have to try for a level playing field so we will try to post a good ratio of dSLR pics vs consumer camera pics.

And we do post the lens and exposure info when it is given to us, often they forget to include it. I believe that today's photo was taken using the Canon EF 18-55mm "kit" lens.

A larger (and original) Medium size image of today's Photo of the Day can be found on our Canon Digital Rebel sample photos page. The photographer graciously allowed us to use it as a good example of what an average (non professional) photographer can do with this fine camera.

Steve,

Just wondering. What is looked for in a photo to be considered for POTD?

Thank you :)
