Any idea how I could properly photography emergency service workers at night???
My problem stems from the reflective tape on their uniforms. I have an Olympus C2100UZ and when I shoot it on auto-everything mode, the flash lights up the reflective tape, thus making the rest of the photo really dark. Any ideas??? |

My Fuji 602 allows me to change the auto EV setting for auto flash. I think your cam has manual EV compensation, On my Fuji, this reduces or increases the amount of flash, effectively underexposing/overexposing the pic.
If your cam takes external flash, you can achieve the same thing by letting the flash fire on its own auto setting and adjust the cam f stop for taste! |

Try the Night -shot mode if your camera has one. Works best for stuff that's not moving too much, because of slower shutter speed.
