I recently took pictures for a friend of mine at her father's funeral. I had forgotten the memory card for my Kodak Z612 and used the onboard memory (turned down the resolution to 3.1 megapixels and standard quality which gave me near 30 images). When I got home I transferred the pics to my card and promptly deleted the onboard memory. You can probably guess where this is going now. Yup I have lost the memory card as well as my card reader. I hope that it is possible to recover the deleted pics from the onboard memory. Can someone please tell me if this is possible and if so how?
I greatly appreciate any information I can get even if it is confirmation that this is impossible.

P.S Will the Sandisk Extreme III help speed up picture taking on my Z612. I'm considering it as a replacement card. The Toshiba I had was painfully slow.

General view is that fast cards won't be of any benefit at all in a Z612 for normal picture taking because the buffer is large enough to handle multiple shots while still writing to the card. The manual suggest that a higher speed card card may be beneficial for video but I think they were talking Extreme II class card even then.
