Default pictures of jewellery

Hi , I need to take pictures of jewellery for website. I have a samsung nv11 camera and cannot find the correct settings to make jewellery standout. I use a lot of pearls and crystals. Would a light box help or is there any other equipment i should buy?

I think a light box would help, but just to be sure, can you post a sample of an image you're not happy with?

There have been some discussions of this topic in the critiques section. If you follow some of eddie haskell's threads involving pictures of his wife's beads, you will probably find ome good info. One thread is here:http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ph...think-now.html
