Default Please rate the following digital cameras- in terms of image

Olympus D-40
Sony (one of the more compact 4 mega pixel ones)
Minolta f100
Konica Revio 400

Check out dpreview.com as well as steve's review. The D-40 came in pretty bad in image quality there.

I like the f100 quite a bit as far as Image quality- I have the 404- a f100 in a bigger box. The f100 seems to do very well in image quality (good quality lens) although, like all Minoltas- low light produces more noise than some cameras.

I've never used a Konica camera.

Sony- unfortunately on their smaller models you don't get the bennefit of the Zeiss lens that comes on their full sized 4MP (the S85) and the P9 scored on the "soft" side along with the D-40.

Take a look at the Canon S40 as well- it seems to be one of the better ones- although I hated the location of controls on it- zoom button in a bad place- image quality is near their G2 model- the standard in 4Mp cameras (in many people's opinions) . I wasn't looking at ultra compact cameras and some of the "feel" of these smaller models just irked me.
