Default PROBLEM OPENING PHOTO ON PC

I am a new boy to Digital Photography and intend to buy a camera shortly but I was just trying out a few things first and one of them was loading a photo from a card to my PC which was successful but I am unable to view.

I have Windows Millennium on the PC and I get error messages trying to open with Adoebe Photoshop, Microsoft Photo Editor and also with Internet Explorer.

The file is 1.19mb and if anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it.

It all depends on the photo format on the card...some cameras do have proprietary formats. What format is the picture...what camera is it from?

Irfanview can view almost any file type. Go to this link to download it for free:
