I have an aging S100 Canon Digital Elph 2.1 MP that I maybe replacing witha new unit. Have PhotoShop Elements 3 and my OS is !0.4 Mac Tiger. I want to experiment with the RAW format when editing my pics. How do I know if my current camera or a new camera can download my pics in RAW?

Check the review on steves-digicams.com. I'm sure he will say in the review.
There is no way to "inhereintly" know. The manufactuere either put the feature in the camera or they didn't and the choice is probably mostly market driven (Who they plan on selling to? Do they want that feature?) and maybe a bit cost oriented (Does it cost too much to add that feature? Is the extra cost worth it?) So say what model you want to replace the S100 with, and either look it up or ask. That is the only way you'll be able to answer the question. Eric ps. The review for the S100 that I saw says it can only write in JPEG format. |

Also, make sure that PS Elements will support whatever camera that you are interested in.
