I am fairly new to the Digital Rebel and would like help with pictures I have been taking in RAW. No matter what lens I use (Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 24-85mm, Canon 70-200mm 4l) all my RAW photos appear to have a very slight haze to them. The colors seem somewhat faded when compared to photos taken in the JPEG setting. Photos in JPEG are bright and clear like they should be, but my RAW photos are beginning to worry me.
I have been told RAW photos should be better all around because there is no compression. What am I doing wrong or is there something wrong with my Digital Rebel? I would appreciate any help in this matter. I also live fairly close to the Canon facility so taking my camera in to get checked is only an hour away. Thanks again.

The reason why the RAW files probably don't have as much snap is because there is no processing applied to them. Color saturation, sharpening, ect are going to need to be applied in a photo editor such as Photoshop Elements 2.0 which came with your Rebel. There are lots of great tutorials around for processing Raw files ect... I suggest you check them out.
