Default ricoh rdc-6000 as a webcam in windowsxp

im trying to help a friend set up her ricoh rdc-6000 for use as a webcam in windowsxp. she downloaded and executed the driver package ricoh provides, but her computer does not recognize the camera. i think the problem may have something to do with the ricoh usb driver which does not show in her device manager--but im unable to find anything more helpful than 'install usb driver' on ricohs site.

im wondering if the ricoh usb drivers will install if she were to remove her current usb setup and then reboot.

or if theres some other trick to get ricoh usb installed?

thanks in advance for any help you can provide
