ANybody know exactly what each scene program on the sonies do?

I seldom use the scene modes, but if I did I would take some comparison shots and read the EXIF data to see what they did. Iím not sure it will all show in the EXIF.

Beach mode would increase the exposure (+EV) Ė snow works the same way. With so much bright stuff in the scene the camera will typically underexpose. It might do some stuff with the white balance and color also, but the main thing is the EV increase.

Most portrait modes use full aperture to get as much blurring of the background as possible, and most shift the colors in a subtle way to give better flesh tones. I do use that occasionally if I donít feel like switching to aperture priority.

Landscape mode usually sets the focus at infinity and boosts the greens and blues a little. Flower mode usually increases the saturation.

EV corrections might show in the EXIF and speed and aperture certainly would. You might get a WB reading but you wouldnít likely get color shift information. This is free and easy to use: http://home.pacbell.net/michal_k/exif_v.html
