I have searched on this topic but have found little info on this topic.
Do you need permmision to sell a photo like the ones below from MLB, NFL, etc? I ask for several reasons. The stadium is not owned by the Royals, but by the County There are no recognizable logos of the Royals or MLB in the photo. Please help if you can. Thanks. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is a shot of the KC AFL team inside city owned Kemper Arena ![]() |

Major league sports are protected by both copyright and trademark law. Since you mention selling photos, I would guess you would be in violation of something.
That said, as long as you stay under the legal radar, you can probably get away with it, at least for a time. If you aren't making a lot of sales (or money), probably the worst that would happen if you are caught, would be a cease and desist order. This is obviously not legal advice, and what you do is up to you. brian |

I believe if it is a recognizable structureyou could be required to obtain a property release.Which in this case wouldprobably be difficult at best. A property release is simalar to a model release.
