I believe the camera on his back is the 500mm F4 IS. That is hand-holdable for most people, but for no more than around 5-10 seconds before you get too tired for a steady shot.

It's a joke guys - we gave him all our equipment and Dave took the shot. Its a tradition, after every event the photographers take shots of everyone.
This too is a joke, except the tradition. |
