Strange question

Is there a good alternative to a neck strap for my camera?

I'll tell you why.

I find the camera swings to much, to the point of annoyance.

Also, the swinging causes lots of fluff to gather around the eye peice.

Iv seen wrist straps but am unsure as to how good they are, and whether there are any that are better than others.

Im not so keen on belt attachments, as I hate the buldge of the camera through my clothing.

I did spot this on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Hand-Grip-...QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks for any help

If this is a dumb question, please tell me, then I can stoprechecking my post over and over again in the hope thatsomeone will tell me what I need to know.

Then I can justcarry on putting up with my camera swinging like a pendulem / gathering fluff in the eyepiece etc.

Thanks

I do a fair amount of hiking.. I have a strap kind of thing that is attached (through my jacket, which runs along my back/ under my armpits and to my camera.. I sew.. so made it myself.. This is when I want my camera handy.. but not swinging as you put it. I can't carry a waist pack, because my backpack for my 2 yr old has a wide hip belt.. Having the camera in the backpack, pretty much renders it usless..lol.

So basically, the strap holds the camera snug against my body. there is a single clip on one side that i release to use my camera.
