Stripping EXIF Data Without Losing the Date Stamp

Does anyone know how to batch strip EXIF data from photo files without losing the date stamp? IrfanView works great to strip the full data set and I have been using this program to remove camera and lens data from files posted to sites like photoshop.com and flickr. Unfortunately, it does not appear to have the capability to retain the original date stamp when other data is removed. Any ideas?

In the batch conversion dialog, there is an 'advanced settings' check box. If you check this and open the advanced settings, there is a check box to keep original date/time.
Should work, though I haven't used it myself.

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. This helps by saving the file with the date of the previous save, however, it still strips the original date taken data from the EXIF data. I'll keep looking.

lostcanonuser, google for Exifcleaner by Superutils - it works fine. Hope this helps to solve your problem.
