i have a project coming up where i need to flim various rooms while they are being built from the ground up for the next 6 to 12 months. "still" photos; yeshowever i would prefer video. here is the catch that most "construction cameras" can not provide. i prefer 3mp 2048x1536 resolution that i can pull and minipulate to my own liking. is there a still cam that i can plug n play into my laptop w/ software that has these capabilities? any info would be great.

O.K. is there issues with shutter malfunction or "break Down". if so i could purchase several cameras in the event one broke down. i would be under certain pressure from several people in the event there was a major malfunction. have u used this software before?
