Default Tiny Town/Miniature Photography

I just had to pass this along for anyone who hasn't seen it. Check out the Flickr sit of Michael Paul Smith of Winchester, Massachusetts. He creates images of the fictional town of "Elgin Park" using 1:24 scale model cars and trucks from the Danbury Mint and his own hand-built miniature buildings/sets. They look very real. The only giveaway is that there are never people in his photos - not even behind the wheels of vehicles.


The New York Times did a story on him in its Automobile section today:


The guy does it all with a 6mp Sony digital camera. So let there be no doubt about images being the work of the photographer and not the camera.
