Hello Everyone I'm new here! I have a very important question to ask and I hope somebody out there would be so kind to help Please? Okay I havea Kodak digital camera EasyShare Cx7300 and when you turn it on the beside the ***(stars) it has a number 17 there isn't any pictures on my camera because I try to look at them and it says there isn't any to look at I take a picture and it say's #17 but when I go to look at them the picture is #1 like it is counting backwards instead of forward like it used to Does anybody know what's wrong? If you do please help and thanks again God Bless

That's how digital cameras work. The number displayed is the ESTIMATED number of pictures you can take before filling up the memory card. It is not the number you have taken. Since memory cards come in various sizes and picture file sizes vary depending on the resolution at which they were taken as well as the picture content it ismore important to know how much spaceyou have left than how many pictures you have taken.

If you want to know how many pictures you have taken just look at the information displayed with the picture onthe camera's LCD screen. If for exampleif it says 00001/00012 you are looking a picture 1of 12.

Might I suggest you read your camera's user manual a bit more.
