Default Type I, Type II or Microdrive ???

Hi all,
If a camera can accept the Typei/TypeII/Microdrive media cards, what should be the preferred choice in terms of performance, value for money etc.

It depends on the camera, but the most obvious answer is to go for the cheapest cost/Mb @ a slighly higher speed rating than a particular camera can run at... For most if not all consumer cameras, this is like x6 to x12 and mostly toward the lower end of this speed range, and only in raw or tiff mode (if they have one)! In jpeg mode no one will notice any speed difference if at all until they fill their entire camera's buffer in the continuous or movie modes

Any higher speed is a waste of money unless you want to invest in a faster semi/pro dSLR at a later date.
