Errr, umm....

All three posts from your forum member name have come from the same IP Address. Also, you would have needed to agree to and acknowledge a confirmation e-mail sent from here after you registered before you coould log in and post to the forums.

If you didn't register, someone using your computer did (on September 11, 2004).. I'd suggest you check with your spouse or others that have access to your computer, e-mail and internet connection.

Something strange is going on. I received a "Welcome new member" e-mail this morning. I've been a member for years. Hey Steve!. Have we been highjacked?

JimC Feb 16, 2006 9:15 AM

Our site administrator triggered them.

We were trying to resend confirmation e-mails to those that had registered but never replied to the confirmation e-mails to complete the process and some extras were sent out to some members already registered.

Nobody hijacked us. ;-)

afrastorm:

See my previous post in this thread. What appears to have happened is someone from your PC (same e-mail address) registered here in September 2004, but never clicked on the link in the confirmation e-mail that was sent out at that time.

So, when we sent confirmation e-mails again, you probably saw it and completed the process (even though the original registration was year before last). ;-)

JimC, if you haven't done so already, you might want to put a time limit on those responses. Say 48 hours or so.
