USB Enabled vs Non-enabled CF Cards

What is the difference between USB enabled vs non-enabled? I recentlly purchased CF cards that are enabled and hope they will work with the Nikon 5700.

usb enabled cards were a lexar media attempt to extend the cf standard. by building in part of the usb controller into the cf card and the other part into the reader/writer dongle. this created the cf+ standard. it was met with little fanfare due to the rather fast proliferation of small portable reader/writers arriving on the scene. any card with the cf or cf+ logo will work with your camera. the both comply with the standard the + is just a littl e extra fluff if you got the reader packed with it that cf+ reader won't work with non cf+ cards. on the other hand if you have a regular cf reader/writer all cf and cf+ cards will work.
