I can't afford an SLR, but, man, showing only 80-85% of the scene through the viewfinder (as all the consumer 3-4MP cameras seem to do) is maddening!
I don't want to compose with LCD, it's an entirely different sort of immersion (like watching tv, not as intimate as Photography IMO). Do I have any options? Any brands out there that actually show you what you're shooting? thanks, JIMBOTRON |

Even with some higher grade cameras, you're likely to suffer from some sort of parallax. The 8MP Canon Powershot Pro 1 has about 85% coverage. Even the 10D only has 95%.
I'm not sure that you can do much about this without syncing your camera with a laptop and using its LCD screen to compose your shot. Mind you for this you're going to need a tripod and a platform for the laptop as well. |
