We are looking to buy one magazine a month for digital photography. Any ideas?

This question always gets a chuckle out of me. I really don't think there I S one that is a sure winner each month. There are quite a few that I buy, but none do I buy on a regular monthly basis. Simply because I pick up tons of useful info from right here, and it's already old news by the time it gets to a magazine. There are lots of good articles to read, however, but I browse thru the magazine rack and if and when I see something I really like, I buy it. I got quite excited by a few different mags, at first, but they usually only have something I find new or worth buying once every few months. Never sems to be the same magazine twice in a row. For that reason I continue to browse, and it is what I would recommend. Best regards,

You don't list where you're from.
If you live near a Barns and Noble, I would suggest going there. They offer a HUGE selection of magazines, including a good number of photo mags.

Check them out. It really depends on what you're looking for. You don't mention what type of camera you have, so I don't know if you're interested in reviews of lenses for DSLRs. Maybe you care about black and white techniques, or photoshop tricks.

Most mags get the vast majority of revenue from ads, and therefor can't write a review saying a product is really bad. They just can't. So you'll need to learn how to read them... they usually drop hints. Instead of a scale from 1-10 they usually seem to have a 5-10 (nothing getting lower than a 5.) It really is a 1-5 scale shifted.
