Hey everybody,
Out of curiousity I was just wondering what the highest megapixel camera is. The highest I've seen is about 14 by Kodak. -Brett ![]() |

Brett:
It depends on what kind of camera you're talking about. Kodak's models like the DCS SLR/C (Canon Mount), and the DCS SLR/N (Nikon Mount) are around 13.5 Megapixels (effective). However, based on tests I've seen, the 11 Megapixel Canon EOS-1Ds is a better camera under most conditions. If you're talking about Medium Format, then you can get higher resolution "Digital Backs" for them. One example is Phase One's Model P25, which is 22 Megapixels. It's a little "pricey" at around $30,000.00 (not counting the cost of the camera that you need for the back). There are probably higher resolution ones around now, too. |

Thanks guys. I know megapixels aren't always an indicator of quality. Just wanted a number for trivia sake
