Trying to decide whether to invest in a wide angle lens for my canon s2is. Purely a user question, but I wonder how much I would probably use it. Any advice from more seasoned camera owners would be appreciated. I already have the telephot lens, and like it. Wide angle is totally different purpose, I realize. Any thoughts?

It's impossible to say because it depends so much on what type of photographs you take. A wide angle lens is not good for portraits for example.

I have a wide angle zoom lens and I use it more than my telephoto.

Do you often find you can't get all of the subject you want into the frame, that you can't move back far enough to get in the entire view that you are trying to take. If you do then a wide angle lens will help. If you never find yourself in this situation then buying a wide angle lens would be pointless.
