Hey all, I was wondering what would happen if you took an SLR body with built in IS, and then attached a lens with in-lens IS... would you get super IS?

Oh... so there's no lens combination that uses both, thats no fun... imagine being able to shoot at like 1/5th shutter speeds on telephoto lenses:?

My guess is that it would really mess things up.
Both systems would detect the same camera shake and both would try to correct it.
The in-lens IS would undo the shake, producing a stable image on the sensor.
The sensor would correct for the shake and really mess up the image, either producing blur or (if the shutter speed was high enough) part of the image circle would just not be on the sensor and the image would be clipped at least one side.

But as Kalypso said, no ones makes both.
