Default Making frames around photos

I would like to know if there is a faster and easier way of making frames around photos using PS. I just made a frame around a photo that took me 10 minutes or more to finally perfect. I used layers and then had to transform the layers to frame around the photo. I use PS 6. Anyone out there have a technique to share?

Hi Sciguy

Ps6 comes with actions you can use, but if they are not to you liking use the record the next time you make one and create your own. I havenít fooled around to much with frames but try a search, Iím sure there are plenty of plugins out there.

To create a border in Photoshop first Select All.
Then Edit > Stroke, and say how many pixels wide you want the border and choose other options and thats it. The border will be in whatever colour you have for your foreground.
Alternatively, you can go to File > Page Setup and click on border. This places a border around the whole canvas.
Have fun,
Tink
