Default A70 LCD Covers\Scratching??

I was wondering, does anyone else find the reflection around the lcd on the A70 annoying? Has anyone found something to cover it? Also I am getting scratches on the lcd already, what can be done?

I left the plastic on my LCD screen for a bit, but noticed when I took it off how much clearer the LCD screen was.

It has small scratches on it, but I know that would of happened.

As for finding something to go on it, I have not yet.

I'm still looking though

Some people use the screen protectors used for PDAs (Palms, PPCs).

I'm not sure where you are, but here in the UK you can buy a tacky film to cover LCDs - I got mine from a camera store (Jessops) and you get about 3 sheets in a pack - enough to do a camera LCD several times over. You can also buy it in stationery stores and computer shops to cover palm pilot LCDs etc. As long as you apply it carefully, it works very well and with care in the application, you don't get any bubbles and it can't be seen in use. I think it goes on a bit tighter to the glass than the protective film that comes on the camera, so I don't think it has as much impact on displayed image quality. I tend to use the EVF more, so I'm less worried about that than scratches.

I have seen the cover you speak about but I am also looking for something to take the glare out of the polished metal surrounding the lcd. It is quite distracting in sunlight. Has anyone seen anything for this?

There are rubber hoods that fit around LCDs (as well as for EVFs) but I don't have one and can't think of a direct link to send you to.

I use a bit of primary school 'tacky back' book cover plastic, it's not perfectly transparent, but I don't use the lcd much, because I need the eyesight compensation of the EVF. VOX
