Anyone have anything good or bad about expresscamera.com

Prices seem much lower that a few other online stores. Just don't want to get screwed over. Some prices are about $4oo less than B&H for same product. Thanks for any unput.

Photo118.....
According to reviews, this dealer is a "rip off"/"bait and switch" dealer....
Check it out for yourself....

If you want to avoid being robbed blind, then you'll want to avoid ordering gear from vendors you see with prices that aren't very close to what you see at B&H (and even then, do your research carefully).

That's how the scam artists pull you in (with low advertised prices). You can't buy the camera for these prices without a catch (gray market gear with no manufacturer's service available, missing items that you are required to buy to get the better price, high unauthorized shipping and insurance charges, known defective gear, inflated prices on accessories that you've got to buy or the camera will suddenly go to backorder status, after you card is charged of course, etc.

Always check customer reviews at http://www.resellerratings.com for any vendor you consider. There are a lot of scam artists around with very nice loooking web sites.

If they have a small number of reviews, I'd avoid them (as the scammers start up web sites with new names often and have been know to try and pad their own ratings with glowing reviews).

Stick with better known reputable vendors like B&H.

As for the vendor you're looking at, here's a press release on a lawsuit for fraud filed against Save Here Distribution (a.k.a., expresscameras.com, geniuscameras.com, trustedcamera.com, trustedphoto.com, luckydigital8.com, clearviewcamera.com, bluestripephoto.com and hopecamera.com).

Thanks for all that answered my post. That is why I posted here. I knew I would get the pros and cons. Thinking of saving a few hundred dollars always has a catch to it. I will keep to the stores that everyone always refers. Thanks again.
