My brother asked me about making canvas prints of photos, but I have never made canvas prints before. Does anyone know what kinds of brick & mortar places do canvas prints, or if anyone has had experiences with online places that do canvas prints? If you had a print done before, what was the cost for it?

Someof the higher end Epson printer can print on Canvas.
For example, the Epson 4000 and 4400. I think the 2200 and maybe the 2400 as well.

They are popular printers for the small-to-medium size print shops.

The larger shops (and many on-line places) use much larger high-end printer and I don't know if they can print on canvas or not.

I second the recommendation of Mpix. Quality work, professionally done, and the turnaround time is very quick.

I have used this company http://www.photosprintedoncanvas.com/and was very pleased with the print and turn around time. They are a little bit cheaper than Mpix as well.

Thanks for that suggestion, Cindi. I'll definitely give them a look. The cheaper, the better. Thanks guys for the MPix suggeestion as well. I may just have a canvas print done w/ one of my photos in addition to my brother now.

I have also used www.canvaspress.com and they were fantastic. I have a crappy little cannon elf, but you couldn't tell from the print I got.

I have used Bay Photo for canvas prints - a professional print lab with internet order capability. Just another name to throw out there.
