Default Digital Camera to Laptop to Printer

Hello,

I need help with a project where speed is key. I have to take a digital picture ideally a 5x7, superimpose a graphic on it, then quickly print out the new photo all under a minute and a half. Then quickly repeat for about an hour straight. Any tips? Is this even possible?

I currently have a Sony DSC-S75 camera (which I have to continously plug and unplug the USB from the laptop to transfer the photo, then to take another picture), a MAC Powerbook G4 with Photoshop, and I am currently looking at the Kodak 8500 to print the photos (Is this a good choice for quality and speed?)

What would be really cool would be to have the camera plugged into the laptop the entire time, allowing me to access the memory stick immediatly after the photo is shot. Or even cooler, could the laptop trigger the camera itself to shoot the picture? Are there any cameras that can do this?

Thanks for your help,
Bob

I got my A70 this week and only just installed some of the software that came with it and i didnt have much chance to play but one of the apps you could leave the camera plugged in, and either store the photo (triggered by computer) on mem card or computer. I hope someone with a sony can help you more as im sure you can do that.

Default Good Recommendation

Thanks for the tip on the Canon. I didn't know that Canon made that type of software, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Looks like I'm buying a new Canon.

Thanks,
Bob
