Yes, a lot of different programs out there. Many cameras(or scanners or printers) come bundeled with software of some type.

PhotoshopLE came with my nikon camera and HP scanner, PaintShopPro came with my HP printer, Don't remember what came with my Epson printer. So depending on what camera you get you may not need to obtain the software seperately.

That said, I don't know what the capabilities of PhotoshopLE are
I have always used Photoshop, the full version. Although it is a bit pricey.

Oups, my bad.

Photoshop Elements came with the Nikon.
Photoshop LE came with the HP printer, I think this was a forerunner to Elements.

Photoshop Elements 2.0 is touted to have close to 90% of the normal photoshops capabilities, plus it adds many “recipes” that are suppose to make more complex tasks easier for the novice. I bought Elements 2.0, and so far pretty happy with it. (many cool filters, like defuse glow, one of my personal favorites) I use it in conjunction with Photoshop album. My experience with the full version of photoshop is limited to past versions, and even comparing both programs, I have yet to explore all the functions, so I cannot confirm if Elements truly has 90% of it’s capability. But for a fraction of the price, I consider it a good value.

(note, this is not my picture...I've just found it in my travels)
