My wife and I were at B&H this past Sunday. We saw some LARGE backpacks! They were HUGE! :? I have no clue how someone can carry one fully loaded :?

BTW How do you like your Sigma 128-300mm f/2.8?
I love the 120-300mm f2.8 gives great results at a good price.

I have just found something to fit into that hole a Canon 5D with 24-105mm f4 IS USM L..... liking my new toy! Oh and battery grip and a 430EX to add to the 580EX.

I am surprised that many of us think the guy with the most gear always wins. Well does that guy or gal use it all, all of the time or most of the time...... Do they end up carrying a lot of gear that they do not use.

Well I gotta get to work... thanks to everyone for sharing so far and I hope more will share in the future.

Dave you are right about not using everything, the large bag is mainly to keep everything together but as I mainly shoot sports the smaller bag then takes what I really need rather than what I might want to use in specialist situations. The 2 primes are examples of this. A lot of people will think that more kit makes them better photographers, but instead it stops them learning how to shoot well within the limitations of a lens or body (no system is perfect). Once someone has understanding of this sort of thing then they should consider moving outside of this. I only have all this kit as I shoot specialist subjects that benefit from super wide angle or very bright lenses etc so it all has its place but mainly (forgetting I've just added a 5D to the mix) I used the 17-70mm 70-200mm and 120-300mm and would guess between them they make up 90+% of all my shooting needs.
