I bought some filters and adapters from LensMate for my Canon S3 IS a few weeks ago and didn't bother inspecting them upon arrival and we leave for Hawaii in less than 72 hours . . . so my fault and too late to expect LensMate to do anything. Basically the 52mm Circ. Polarizing filter the little metal ring that holds the lens in the filter housing was just laying there with about a 1/4" gap so it isn't even a complete ring. After playing with it a bit I was able to get it to "pop" into the groove, I guess, and now it seems to hold the lens in place but of course now I have fingerprints all over the blasted thing. Should I try to clean and hope it works or try to find a local place that sells filters and go run buy one? Of course this is the most expensive filter & item from my order to boot as I'm kicking myself for not inspecting sooner.
