Hi,

I am thinking of selling my D50 on ebay and stepping up to a D200(great deal, body only).

Now, my dilema...
I love my 18-70 lens and my 55-200VR so I don't want to give them with the camera.
I have a Tamron 70-300 that I might pair with it...

Anyway, my question is, do you think it will sell without a lens or do you think it will even sell withjust the 70-300????
I really want to sell it as just the body because that 70-300 is actually a great lens... very sharp for the cost.

Any thoughts?

How about some other places to sell a camera besides ebay...

Thanks,
Gary

I just made the switch from film to digital. One problem I see already is that with film I'm used to carrying at least two cameras so that I don't have to change lenses all the time. If I could afford it I would make you an offer and solve that problem. But I can't. My point here is you may wish to consider keeping the D50 and buying a D200. Never hurts to have back up either.

Well, if I could afford the two... LOL!!!

If I sell the D50 I would only need a few hundred bucks apposed to the full cost of just the D200.
Do you think 600 for the body alone is too high?
It is only a few weeks old and PERFECT.

If I could afford the D200 without selling the 50, I would do it in a minute... The D50 is an awesome camera, but I think I can use the extra features in the D200... maybe even just the D80, but the 200 is such a great deal I should just go for it.

B&H Photo are listing the Nikon D50 body (new) at $450.

So, yes, $600 is too high.
Maybe $300.

They may be available for that new, but the kicker is that evryone that advertises it is out of stock... the camera is not being produced anymore so you will not get it from any dealers that don't already have it stashed away.

So, demand grows and so does the oppurtunity to sell at 500-600... atleast logic states that... realism might be a different story...LOL!!!
