Take many photos as the event progresses, and stitch them as if they're a panorama. See the 'panoramas & stitching' forum for advice. BillDrew is the expert.

yup alan is correct...and they take plenty of editing time to get to look correct

or it could be screen grabs from a video clip edited the same way?

here is one i did a while ago, shot freehand panning as paraglider passed me, then joined by hand in photoshop, i never use auto stitch software it never gives a good enough end result for me. they hardest bit is getting the contrast and colour ballance correct all across the shot
