I am interested in purchasing the Canon SD 700 IS. How can I find out if Broadway Photo is a reputable dealer? They are offering this camera NEW for $207. Any thoughts??? Thank you for your time.

Broadway Photo is NOT a reputable dealer.

Here is a link to resellerratings where you will find a list of best and worst rated online stores.

http://www.resellerratings.com/topstores.pl

Click on Broadway Photo and read some of the customer reviews of this store.

I suggest you try B&H Photo.

Run as fast as you can away from Broadway! Like already noted, B&H, or Beach Camera or BuyDig (Beach's sister store) would be a good bet.

I also endorse Buydig / Beach Camera. I have purchased from them more than once and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Alsoa good experience with onecall.com

A friend has had good experience with Norman Camera.

Has anyone had any experience with Amazon.com. They offered the best deal I found on a Tamron 70-300 Di LD Macro.

Online stores with which I have had good experiences include Cameta Camera (through e-bay).....Adorama (several purchases)....and Ace Photo (through Amazon.com).

Amazon.com has been good to me...however, I only buy products directly through Amazon.com, not their associate merchants who sell through Amazon. If you buy from one of their merchants through Amazon, you are at the mercy of the individual merchant for returns, shipping, price protection, etc...Amazon's policies do not apply.

Adorama (ususally slightly cheaper) or B&H (possibly the largest dealer in the USA). Also Buydig is good and Newegg is also worth a look.

KEH sells some new cameras as well as used. Tiger Direct sells cameras as well as electronic stuff.

There are a lot of reputable dealers - if you see a price much below (e.g.) B&H without saying it is grey market/reconditioned/used/..., there is something wrong with the deal. If it looks to good to be true, you can be sure that it is to good to be true.
